Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Create and maintain users, roles, and assign privileges.
  • Review and deploy database related application code.
  • Trouble shoot failed code deployments
  • Write code using Oracle’s PL/SQL language.
  • Review database log files and daily reports to identify possible issues.
  • Support developers with answering database related questions, as necessary.
  • Maintain database related documentation and standards.
  • Write shell scripts to automate routine tasks.
  • Perform quarterly PSU/CPU security patching
  • Interface with Oracle for technical support.

Required Skills :

  • Knowledge of Oracle's database and utilities.
  • Understand Oracle relational integrity constraints.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The candidate for this position must be able to work in a collaborative environment with other team members.
  • Must be self-motivated with capability to perform functions with little direction.
  • Must be able to ask for guidance when needed, listen, document and re-use throughout each assignment.
  • Must have a customer service attitude.
