ETL Datastage Developer

Raritan, NJ

Responsibilities:

•            Design, develop, and maintain parallel and sequence ETL jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.

•            Extract, transform, and load data into the Medicaid data warehouse and decision support platform.

•            Create, maintain, and update source-to-target data mapping, technical specifications, and design documentation.

•            Support and monitor production ETL workflows, ensuring timely and accurate data loads.

•            Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures, data issues, and production defects.

•            Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with data quality and integration standards.

•            Participate in performance tuning, optimization, and process enhancements of ETL pipelines.

•            Ensure adherence to BI and data management best practices, governance standards, and security protocols.

Requirements:

•            Expert-level experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage, including building, optimizing, and troubleshooting parallel and sequence ETL jobs.

•            Strong SQL proficiency, with the ability to write complex queries, validate transformations, and tune performance across large datasets.

•            Hands-on Linux/Unix shell scripting experience for automation, file management, and job orchestration.

•            Solid understanding of data warehousing and BI concepts, including source-to-target mapping, data modeling, and ETL best practices.

•            Proven ability to support, monitor, and troubleshoot production ETL workflows, resolving data load failures and performance issues.

•            Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
