BUSINESS ANALYST

The Select Group is looking for a Business Analyst to sit out in Cary, NC. This Business Analyst ideally will have knowledge and experience working within the SDLC.

BUSINESS ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years as a BA in a technical role (being able to test and integrate)
  • SQL Experience for data analysis
  • Great personality as this candidate will be working with customers and collaborating within a team. (Communication is key since they will run meetings with customers)

BUSINESS ANALYST NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Oracle, SAS, Tableau experience (huge plus)
  • Experience in Agile environment. (Writing user stories)
  • Someone who can analyze and initiate advancements within our clients processes without being told by the Customer or IT team.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 30% - Drive the Agile software development effort by acting as the voice of the customer to define and clarify user stories with the development teams through continual team collaboration, business acceptance testing, making quality decisions, and taking responsibility for the overall development team success.
  • 20% - Interface with stakeholders to obtain requirements. The requirements (user stories) will include the business logic, expected behavior and user acceptance criteria. The Business Analyst will test the user story and sign off on the business functionality completeness.
  • 20% - Develop new product ideas by challenging business owners and subject matter experts on their assumptions and how their proposed business requirements will successfully meet their business goals while identifying potential solutions to business problems by applying technical and non-technical analysis.
  • 15% - Analyze and assess data usage and product performance for maintenance prioritization and compliance with service level agreements. Provide third level support to the product support team as the product subject matter expert.
  • 10% - Continually prioritize work within the budget, level of effort and opportunity costs constraints by leveraging customer, product support, internal IT and other stakeholder interests. Work can be defined as user stories, features, new products, projects or a process improvement.
