Duties: 
DevOps Platform Engineering team is looking for a highly technical lead engineer to help scale, automate and monitor the growing DevOps and cloud infrastructure at Verizon. He/She will play a key role in leading all AWS infrastructure projects, shaping the architecture of the DevOps platform Tools and helping application teams to adopt NextGen AWS Cloud Platform. We aim to have a fast, agile and automated DevOps philosophy that will provide a world-class experience to our users with minimal or zero downtime. 

Must have Skills: 

  • Knowledgewith AWS services (EC2, RDS, Aurora, S3, Cloud Formation, Auto Scaling and others) 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience automating infrastructure deployment with Ansible and Jenkins. 
  • Strong understanding of Agile & DevOps, Cloud Security & Cloud Integration 
  • Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures. 
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining high traffic infrastructure (performance testing is a plus) 
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (python and/or shell)
