<p><strong><span>Job Title: PL/SQL developer</span></strong><br /><strong><span>Location: Chicago, IL</span></strong><br /><strong><span>Duration: 9 Months Contract&nbsp;</span></strong><br /><br /><strong><span>Job Description:</span></strong><br /><span>&nbsp;</span><br /><strong>Technical/Functional Skills&nbsp;</strong><br /><span>&nbsp;</span><br /><span>&bull;Experience of Insurance domain, commercial insurance is a plus.</span><br /><span>&bull;At least 4 years&rsquo; experience of Oracle 10g or 11g SQL, PL/SQL development and/or support &lsquo; having SYBASE experience is a plus.</span><br /><span>&bull;Designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses and data marts</span><br /><span>&bull;Experience releasing to production environments and understanding of change control systems.</span><br /><span>&bull;Flexible attitude with a strong willingness to learn.</span><br /><span>&bull; Excellent communication</span><br /><strong>Experience Required: Insurance Domain knowledge</strong><br /><span>&nbsp;</span><br /><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</strong><br /><span>&nbsp;</span><br /><span>&bull;Develop and define technical solutions, participate, drive and execute implementations on DWH related technology stacks (mainly Oracle and Sybase)</span><br /><span>&bull;Support Architects and System engineers on technical, high and low level solution and implementation approaches &bull;Participate in Scrum related events and collaborate within agile and classical organization setups</span><br /><span>&bull;Implement technical guidance</span><br /><span>&bull;Coordinate with other functions (e.g. Finance / Operations) as necessary</span><br /><span>&bull;Conducts analysis on whether IT policies/standards are being followed, follow up and apply in cases where necessary</span><br /><span>&bull;Lead Architects and designers along with content and technology</span><br /><span>&bull;Report to IT management on results</span><br /><span>&bull;Perform peer reviews for the designs and execute according to all standards and guidelines for software programming</span><br /><span>&nbsp;</span></p>
