he role of the database professional is to support a mission critical project. We are looking to find an experienced SQL SERVER DBA / BI Developer. The database professional will have experience working in high-pressure and fast-paced environments, which operate 24×7. The database professional will be the primary owner and the last line of defense for the overall database design and support of our production systems and will be available on an on-call rotation. The database professional should have the ability to manage all objects in the database, storage, deployments, and day-to-day operations. They also need to have proactive monitoring experience, deep troubleshooting skills and must be 100% hands on. This person should be ready to make decisions, offer solutions to known or potential problems, and possess the ability to articulate thoughts and decisions in an understandable manner.
The primary effort the database professional will focus on will be updating and developing stored procedures, SSIS packages, SSAS cubes and SSRS reports. As part of this effort, they will be required to gain an understanding of the entire data warehouse load process and troubleshoot any issues with nightly data load processes. All deployments are done using SQL Server Data Tools database projects with GIT as the source control system. The database professional will have experience checking in code, branching and deployment from team foundation services.
