Job Description

Responsible for managing the data/services strategy and roadmap for Consolidated Communications. The Data Architect will lead the data architecture team to define a data strategy, roadmap, standards and guidelines which promotes a cohesive, scalable and maintainable data design within the enterprise systems. Represents the data architecture perspective in the IT governance process, ensuring alignment of business priorities and data strategies. Directs the development and communication of the data architecture principles and standards to stakeholders.

This role is a key contributor to the strategic success of the organization through the use of advanced analytics through the production and trending of performance statistics across all functional domains.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the corporate data model to ensure the effective use and stewardship of business data to reduce redundancy and the need for recurring data synchronization.
  • Designs and constructs relational databases for data warehousing.
  • Develops complex data modeling and is responsible for data acquisition and access analysis and design; and archive, recovery, and load strategy design and implementation.
  • Coordinates new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing structure.
  • Reviews business requests for data and data usage, researches data sources for new and better data feeds.
  • Initiates continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality.
  • Defines, procures, and develops custom applications which interact with the enterprise data; effectively managing demand vs. availability thru the IT change management process.
  • Managing the any data migration programs (validation, clean-up and mapping) along with overseeing data issue resolution.
  • Understanding and promoting the role of IT solution and Data Architecture in effective IT governance; communicating effectively with all key constituents and actively promoting the needs and benefits of governance, architecture and standards
  • Participate in the design and review of new product requirements and technical design to ensure corporate data standards are maintained.
  • Create and maintain end-to-end data vision, and translate a logical design into one or more physical database design, and model the flow of data throughout the IT enterprise architecture
  • Work with subject matter experts and other architects to baseline and trend impact of reengineered business processes, define business and system requirements, conduct process and data modeling and support the IT Enterprise architecture development.
