Skills in service management administration required, as well as some development/coding skills.
-Strong skills in problem identification and resolution
-Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment, keeping others clearly informed,
-Efficiency, well-organized, excellent decision making, communications, training and documentation.
-Abilities to translate requirements and specification into successful services, achieving specified timelines and budgets, and making excellent recommendations.
-Knowledge of cloud computing architectures, building enterprise applications, IT help desk procedures and integration with external systems.
-Specific knowledge of ITSM and ITIL.
-Knowledge and service administration experience with the ServiceNow platform or other similar service management platforms is required.
-Advanced knowledge of enterprise wide service administration, security, architecture, and requirements gathering will be very useful.
-Ability to simplify complex technologies and issues raised, into a simpler dialogue will be helpful when dealing with many of our end users who are not well versed in IT.
Preferred Qualifications:
-ServiceNow System Administration certification.
-Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data encryption and security, process automation and workflow, understand of ITSM and ITIL.
-Understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how all ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem and Asset Management, Service Catalog and Problem Management.
-Some knowledge of scripting/coding as needed by a service administrator, including working with 3rd party apps, integration, APIs, web apps, network, protocols, client/server scripting.
-Knowledge of service administration of ServiceNow or similar service management platforms, using tools or administration consoles.
-The ability to deal with various vendors and their technical staff
-Ability to work with local departmental IT staff and help guide them.
-In addition, being able to assist others in a friendly and professional manner, helpful disposition and having patience in dealing with a non-technical audience, is preferred.
