Job Description
  • Design and develop web and mobile applications on small to medium size projects, supporting projects through the full development lifecycle from requirements through launch.
  • Oversee development work over the full technology stack, including system infrastructure, data modeling, API building, backend coding, and the presentation layer.
  • Evaluate third-party products and vendors as an alternative to in-house development.
  • Oversee the operation and administration for the myTC iOS and Android mobile apps, the myTC portal, TC's SSO system, and TC APIs in multiple dev/test/prod environments.
  • Analyze and resolve issues when user reports or monitoring indicate system or application problems. Anticipate issues and make preparations to mitigate issues before they arise.
  • Work with other members of the CIS team to ensure that enterprise systems operate reliably, consistently, and effectively.
  • Maintain both vendor and in-house developed applications. Communicate any problems to vendors, and work with them and users to solve problems.
  • Provide analysis, design, development and support for integrations between applications.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and implement new feature requests.
  • Design and maintain a web and mobile analytics infrastructure that records application performance and user engagement. Analyze and interpret results, and make findings available through dashboards or automated reports.
  • Lead the team in ensuring proper resource management, delivery planning, and adherence to development standards for system design, information security and documentation.
  • Work with other internal information technology teams and their project managers to prioritize deliverables and manage a shared project calendar.
  • Establish annual goals for development and provide manageable and achievable targets.
  • Work to further the College's capabilities by proposing new practices, procedures, and technologies.
