Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Application Developer will also be responsible for:

  • Identifying the business/technical justification, procurement, and implementation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Supporting legacy applications by responding to end-user questions, diagnosing and resolving reported issues, and assessing the level of effort to develop new features requested by application stakeholders.
  • Identifying, refining, and advocating for application development methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Leading application development related efforts and projects.
  • Mentoring less-experienced, junior-level application developers and systems analysts.
  • Developing professional skills by learning new technologies and software platforms as appropriate for the ongoing support and development of departmental systems.
