Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clarify system, workflow, and process needs within CHP Operations to understand the purpose, content, and context of requested enhancements
  • Assist business partners with an understanding of system functionality and process flows
  • Document business and functional needs/requirements utilizing a variety of tools including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other tools as applicable
  • Contribute to and/or own documentation of P&Ps for the breadth of the CHP Operations functions.
  • Consult with management or senior team members as needed to gain the knowledge needed for ownership of assigned process areas
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask on several projects at one time, independently set a project schedule, effectively manage the schedule, and motivate a cross-functional team to complete projects on time within scope and with high quality
  • Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, especially those pertaining to Claims, Configuration, Enrollment, the Call Center, and Appeals and Grievances. Understand information quickly, derive insight, synthesize information clearly and concisely, and devise solutions
  • Work with management to provide business metrics, KPI, and dashboard reporting
  • Support day-to-day operations of CHP Operations by responding to requests for research or minor changes to workflow
  • Identify system enhancements that will improve business processes and support future business needs
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and end-users as a change agent to remove roadblocks and gain agreement
  • Lead or provide expertise to functional project teams as well as participating in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Utilize operational and system knowledge to provide recommendations for increased efficiencies and automation through a proprietary workflow system
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to produce written material to sufficiently communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business issues and identify, design and implement effective practical recommendations. Superior diagnostic skills spanning organizational, group and individual needs
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing projects and deadlines
  • Independent, logical thinker with proven ability to perform detailed data analysis and make sound decisions
  • Ability to understand operational business processes, and apply technical/system knowledge
  • Ability to develop and/or present training to operational business users
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, respectful of all positions at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
