Job Description:

As a SQL Database Developer, you would be tasked with working as part of a team in the full life-cycle of database development. If you’re ready to spearhead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of databases, reporting solutions, and data warehouses in production, as well as office infrastructure, this is the perfect role for you!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with existing DB architecture of existing applications including the movement of data between systems
  • Complete tasks as assigned in JIRA using expected work-flow conventions
  • Participate in standups, retrospectives, reviews, and sprint planning sessions
  • Install, configure, secure, optimize, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances including SSAS and SSRS components
  • Monitor databases and related systems to identify capacity and performance issues
  • Design and/or provide analysis of Stored Procedures
  • Script and automate regular tasks
  • Work with lead DBA to develop and implement performance and capacity remediation plans
  • Create ad-hoc reports
  • Maintain and enhance data recovery process, ETL processes, and cube deployment processes
  • Understand the internal partitioning architecture and handle issues that arise in production or development environments
  • Understand internal DR setup and architecture and handle DR scenarios
  • Handle feature support through entire development life-cycle with little assistance
  • Understand and participate in the software release process

Prefered Prerequisites:

  • SQL clustering/HA configurations knowledge
  • Dynamic Table Partitioning/Splitting Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Database Monitoring Tools like SQL Sentry and Spotlight
