Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

      The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for providing expertise and analysis needed to support the department in making comprehensive decisions for healthcare quality improvement. The analyst will complete complex analyses that will lead meaningful quality improvement decisions. While this team is highly collaborative, this is an extremely analytical, individual-contributor role requiring rich healthcare experience, critical thinking skills, independence, a strategic mindset, attention to detail, and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyzes, presents results, and recommends intelligent solutions to solve problems and address quality challenges by applying critical thinking skills and healthcare experience/expertise.
  • Structures analytical results in an organized, visualized manner to tell a meaningful, actionable story designed to help leadership understand how to best impact outcomes
  • Manages data queries and extracts, creates end-user reports, and applies varying analytical techniques to solve specific quality problems.
  • Determines credibility and usability of data prior to delivery of analytic results.Designs and implements relevant quality improvement studies including selection of valid and reliable evidence-based indicators and coordinates appropriate monitoring and evaluation activities for ambulatory practices.
  • Remains up to date on quality-based programs administered by payers.
