Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating data storage optimized for performance, implementing schema changes, and maintaining data architecture standards across Big Data Lake.
Develop and implement scripts for data ingestion, contextualization, monitoring and performance tuning
Responsible for designing and developing scalable ELT/ETL packages from the business source systems and to create aggregations at the time of ingestion
Advise senior leaders on making strategic investments in big data applications, programs, or processes
Data Engineer leads innovation through exploration, benchmarking, making recommendations, and implementing big data technologies for platforms
Big Data Engineer is responsible as an analytical analyst that performs ad-hoc analyses of data stored in Data Lake
Responsible to keep up with industry trends and best practices, advising senior management on new and improved big data engineering strategies
Collaborate across the enterprise at all levels to align the long-term technology and applications roadmap and strategy with the business' strategies
Act on own initiative and awareness of industry standards and technical innovations to provide solutions to problems before they occur
Serve as the ultimate escalation resource for the most complex problems with significant business consequences
Create and Maintain documented designs for new initiatives with complex business cases
Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the existing application footprint
