Job Description

The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for helping advocate, educate and ensure that machine learning (ML) teams across the enterprise are following best practices around the preferred technology stacks. As a member of the newly formed Machine Learning Center of Excellence, this position will use in-depth knowledge and experience to support the writing and modifying of complex software applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Create Machine Learning Solutions to achieve an organization’s objective
  • Cousult to product development teams best practices related to:
o BigData and Data Science tools and frameworks (i.e. one or more of Hadoop, Spark, Python, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, R)
o established Machine Learning algorithms and how/when to apply each
o machine learning techniques (i.e. classification, regression, clustering) and principles including (training, validation, etc.)
  • Build both real-time and offline Machine Learning models

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Good understanding of relational and nosql database concepts and data processing
  • Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance (e.g., I/O and memory tuning)
  • Software engineering fundamentals: version control systems (i.e. Git, Github) and workflows, and ability to write production-ready code
  • Minimum educational requirement bachelors’ degree and 3+ years’ experience
