Job Description

The Network Administrator works in collaboration with the IT Director and other IT staff as well as consultants to manage and maintain all areas of our servers and network infrastructure, this position will also provide support to tier 1 as well as end users. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong awareness of business processes as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organizational Management

  • Demonstrates Strong People and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Must be a Highly Motivated, Self-Starter, Requiring Minimal Oversight
  • Willing to grow and adjust to an ever-changing environment of business needs and requirements
  • Acts as the main contact for Microsoft related technologies: SQL Administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure, and Office365
  • Administers and supports the VMware environment including virtual servers and desktops
  • Maintenance and Administration of SAN storage arrays (HP Left-hand)
  • Utilizes PM (Project Management) methodologies in relation to IT support regarding technical issues involving Choices’ core business applications and systems deployment.
  • Document and maintain common procedures and changes made to network and systems
  • Design, Implement, and Support complex Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Creates and maintains “Knowledge Base” articles for common issues as well as Change Management logs for internal systems.
  • Researches and offers recommendations to IT Director for needed hardware, software, and maintenance services to support the companies’ needs.
  • Provides technical services and support at the network level: LAN and WAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and security.
  • Work with and train tier 1 staff to resolve high level issues and encourage knowledge sharing
  • Capable of creating and leading technology trainings aimed at end users
  • Willingly complete other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
