Business Analyst DevOps – FTE in Golden

We have a current opportunity for a Business Analyst – DevOps located in the downtown Golden, Colorado location.

Summary:

The Business Analyst – DevOps is responsible for supporting the full spectrum of development related activities including requirements gathering, QA test case creation, QA test case execution, and bug identification/remediation. The BA – DevOps will work closely with the internal Agile software development project team as well as with the designated line of business (customer) to deliver IT automation to existing manual IT & business processes. This role requires a high degree of technical adaptability to ever changing and improving operational processes driven by Equian strategic IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and lead requirements gathering sessions with business unit and development teams, translating requirements into Agile user story format for development
  • Apply available testing standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of application test cases and scripts
  • Test moderately complex healthcare/claim applications to meet business needs
  • Arranges, prepares and conducts testing and UAT meetings, workshops and presentations as required for a wide variety of audiences, demonstrating consistently high qualities of communication skills of testing results
  • Address reported issues during a support or testing environment by trouble shooting issues and providing solution for resolution
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings performing as the subject matter expert on assigned applications
  • Assist in the change control process following policies designed to ensure that proper planning, execution, and documentation for projects of all systems supported
  • Participate in implementation meetings, address status of the project to sponsors, executive management and support development team
  • Triage and troubleshoot a variety of IT related operational technology issues and requests, collaborating with internal resources to provide resolution
