A Day In The Life Of An Senior Java Developer - Big Data - req8504 

State Farm is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer with a Big Data Development background for our Enterprise Interactions Data Team within our Enterprise Technology department. This role will play an instrumental part in the development of APIs to access and manipulate big data in the Hadoop analytical and operational environments. 

You will be part of a new -startup- area within State Farm whose primary goal is the acquisition of key interaction data from all parties (both external customers and internal agents & reps). Your expertise will be required to help the team architect and build solutions around gathering that data, putting it into Hadoop, and then being able to retrieve it for both operational (near real-time) and more traditional data science analysis (AI & Machine Learning). You will learn about every area of this Fortune 50 Company and help determine what data we need to collect and why. This is not -metrics- data, but rather customer journeys through our various technologies (mobile, web, internal). The data is the key and how we use it will provide competitive advantage. You will help define that.
