Job Description:

The quality assurance analyst performs simple to complex implementation, testing and validation activities. This individual should demonstrate an expertise in core claims adjudication and claims processing. This individual should also have knowledge and understanding of business rules that support reimbursement policies in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the testing and validation of system configuration for provider/hospital contracts, benefit plans, fee schedule loads and third-party application upgrades.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive test plans and coordinates testing and deployment of application changes and updates
  • Performs testing for all products and markets using functional and non-functional testing methodologies
  • Analyzes formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws prior to production
  • Proficient in authoring quality-related documentation such as requirements specifications, test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports
  • Experience reviewing and comparing test results to business requirements accuracy and correctness
  • Perform data analysis and draw business conclusion for decision making
  • Create quality and exception reports to audit the integrity of configuration changes and data
  • Understands how changes impact work upstream and downstream

 Experience and Education:

  • Expert knowledge with the ability to design and implement testing approaches for small to complex, cross functional projects and/or projects in support of the QA environment
  • Identify opportunities and works with others to implement ways to expedite testing.
  • Advanced ability to identify areas for Test Automation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to research, problem solve, trouble shoot, influence, present and partner across the organization
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities and demonstrated ability to independently lead multi-functional projects
  • Functional understanding of health care claim data sets such as ICD-9/10, CPT and HCPC
  • 1-3 years in analytical roles preferred
  • 3+ years business experience possibly including Claims or Healthcare related experience (preferably Medicaid Managed Care or Medicare)
  • 1-3 years of experience working in Information Systems (sof)
