Job Description
    • Builds end to end data processes from sourcing to loading of data modeled tables. This can include: locating need source data, creating data extraction processes, data profiling, creating tables and files for storing data, defining and building data cleansing and imputation routines, mapping multiple sources to a common format, transforming data using programming and business rule frameworks, validating data changes using SQL; and creating and loading tables and files.
    • Designs application solutions for simple to medium complex data processing requirements
    • Completes production deployment tasks including code promotion and documentation
    • Supports and trouble shoots production process when errors or failures occur

    • Hadoop fundamentals and architecture; usage of Hadoop products like Atlas, Ambari, etc. to perform job duties
    • Unix commands and scripting
    • SQL programming in Hive and Spark
    • Meta data driven code development for re-usable code patterns (code function is created from metadata, configuration files, etc.)
    • Programming in a language such as Python (preferred), Scala, etc.
  • Programming in other open source tools such NIFI and Streamline for faster development
