Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain software for the Credit Union's core application and ancillary systems.
Provides assistance with projects that further the long-term goals of the Credit Union.
Maintains specific programs, functions or areas within the department.
Maintains databases, core system, and core related applications.
Document system processes and program developed in projects and work orders.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To resolve complex production problems on any in-house or purchased software application, across multiple hardware platforms and programming languages.
2. To communicate effectively with users at all levels to understand their job functions, business needs and strategic direction.
3. To fully understand each user's department's duties, computerized information systems and underlying data and successfully design and develop the systems and programs to satisfy their needs.
4. To continuously expand skill set by learning new languages, techniques and systems. Share knowledge and experience with other members of the programming team.
5. To balance multiple jobs, priorities and deadlines.
6. To provide system support services on-site and via telephone during working hours and on occasion after normal working hours for core application and ancillary systems.
7. To follow best practices for coding. This includes secure coding, and the ability to follow a defined software development life-cycle.
8. To build and design integrations into our core banking platform.
