Job Description

Responsibilities for the Big Data Engineer

  • Build necessary finance and accounting controls to ensure accuracy of Music royalties. Team is responsible for paying all music vendors and labels. Looking for an engineer who is good in data and coding.
  • Make sure those controls and their evidences are easily accessible to provide transparency on those controls to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the controls and their evidences are well documented in wiki for future developers to enhance them
  • Put all the processes in place for making Music Royalties as SOX-compliant in 2019
  • Together with Royalties SDM, drive various audit activities planned in 2019 for Music Royalties

 

Requirements for the Bid Data Engineer

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Strong server side experience such as Java, Python, SQL, Spark and/or Scala experience
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and best practices

 

Preferred for the Big Data Engineer

  • Experience with technologies in the big data ecosystem (SQL, Spark and/or Scala)
  • Experience writing and testing ETLs
  • Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills
  • Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools and services (is a plu
