Job Description

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Mainframe Application Developer specializing in designing, documenting, programming and supporting tools for our Broker/Dealer applications. Developers will apply skills to improve production workflows and resolve problems. Developer works with moderate level of supervision being directed by experienced developers, project leaders and/or managers.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent education/experience is required
  • Minimum 5 years programming and analysis experience

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of using the following IBM products: COBOL, DB2, ISPF, TSO/E, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, PDS/PDSE in a z/OS environment
  • Experience in project life cycle phases including analysis, design, programming and implementation
  • Excellent organization, verbal and written communications skills
  • Advanced interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Securities Broker/Dealer applications
  • Knowledge of using the following IBM products: SCLM and CICS
  • Knowledge of using: FTP, HTML, CSS, Java Script, and XML
