<p><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">The reporting business analyst will gather requirements that will be used to create data sets, extracts, reports and dashboards for consumption at multiple levels throughout the agency and its partners. An experienced analyst with technical proficiency is needed to promote the groups team's vision, gather report requirements, participate in design and documentation of the reports and present them for validation. The ability to prioritize competing priorities and many parallel processes is a must. </span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">IT Reporting Business Analyst</span></strong><br /><strong><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Job Description</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">DUTIES:</span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Work with identified stakeholders in person or via remote meeting to gather requirements and understand business needs</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Quickly learn and document business process and policy with stakeholder groups</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Support the development of end-user training materials and documentation</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Prepare gap analysis deliverables and process flow diagrams </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Coordinate closely with stakeholder groups, the Bureau of Program Integrity and other DDS IT Resources team to support the creation, maintenance and documentation of data and reports</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Create and maintain all best practice documentation including but not limited to: Business/Functional Reporting Specifications, Meeting minutes and other documentation as requested</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Design standard Business/Functional Reporting Specifications based on Agency need</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Design a documentation strategy for cataloging reports</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Design a process for requesting report maintenance or new reports post initial requirements gathering </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Keep tracking systems updated (i.e. JIRA or TFS) </span></li> </ul> <p><br /><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:</span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Minimum 5 years BA experience in an IT or Analytics context</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Knowledge of the Unified Process and/or Agile process</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Must be self- motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Well-developed critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Experience with multi-group requirements gathering projects</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Excellent meeting leadership and requirements gathering skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Comfort level with Data and abstract concepts</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Demonstrated ability as a flexible, process-oriented, logical thinker and team player </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Development Experience a plus</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Jasper/Tableau/Cognos/BI experience a plus</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">SQL skills a plus</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Bachelor's degree required</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">Government experience a plus</span></li> </ul>
