Job Description

Business Analyst Support:

  • Engage in ongoing dialogue with business stakeholders to ensure high-order business literacy
  • Leverage business knowledge to elicit conceptual business and design requirements, persistently striving to identify gaps.
  • Resolve all cases of conflicting requirements that arise when working with stakeholders to map disparate analog business processes.
  • Iteratively validate design and business requirements with business stakeholders, making explicit efforts to thoroughly flesh out those design and business requirements.
  • Design and execute high level requirements gathering sessions and tools as necessary -- including focus groups, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires.
  • Research and resolve business process challenges -- resulting from poor understanding of business or CRS business processes.
  • Ability to translate user requests to native software capabilities.
  • Utilize creative problem-solving and advanced troubleshooting skills to consistently deliver high-order business/design requirements
  • Respond to requestors' high-level requirements considering the UX (user experience), UI (user interface), business, and timeline implications, reaching out to vendors and/or GKIM as necessary for guidance, but never passing off until thorough and complete.
  • Recognize when desired business objectives can be better achieved through change management, training, or end user support rather than a new feature or change, always responding to requestors with possible solutions and directing to appropriate IIS team members as necessary.
  • Develop and promote process best practices for engaging with business owners, new feature requestors, and change requests
  • Recognize when new features or system changes may increase training/support burden or impact data quality and engage with UX/DQ advisor to mitigate as necessary.

Required Skills:

            

  • 2+ years working in a Lead Business Analyst role/prior consulting experience is preferred
  • Extensive experience conducting discovery phase workshops
  • Extensive experience on Business Process Re-engineering, Business Process Management
  • Strong , organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Must possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • SQL query experience required
  • Working experience of Team Foundation Server
