ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for THREE Data Scientists at various Seniority Levels for our prestigious global client for their location in San Francisco, CA.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Define, manipulate, aggregate and use both structured and unstructured big data in order to support descriptive and predictive analytics across the businesses.
  • Collaborate with scientists, product groups and content groups to perform big data aggregations, fusion and manipulations of important data-sets
  • Perform statistical and machine learning analysis on data to serve business purposes
  • Explain content and processes to technical as well as non-technical audience by data analysis and visualization
  • Define and develop software for the analysis and manipulation of large and very large data-sets
  • Guide the architecture of big-data business processes with an eye towards robustness, parsimony, and reproducibility (at senior levels)
  • Research and identify Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods and algorithms to solve specific problems to improve user experience on IP & Science data and websites
  • Identify new applications of ML and NLP in the context of extensive sets of content and data
  • Build and validate predictive models using a wide variety of statistical and machine learning methods and algorithms.
  • Explore existing data for insights and recommends additional sources of data for improvements
  • Implement various methods and devises appropriate test plans to validate and compare the different approaches
  • Develop appropriate and innovative customer experience metrics and reporting tools.
  • Provide automated and ad-hoc analysis of experiments.
  • Identify strategic information needs of clients and translate these into data requirements and reports.
  • Assess and validate the reliability of source data and business systems used to develop performance metrics.
  • Prepare recommendations and conclusions based on data summaries and communicates this information in a credible, convincing and timely manner.
  • Explores existing data for insights and recommends additional sources of data for improvements.
  • Design and implementation of the search infrastructure
  • Work in collaboration with Data Scientists to constantly optimize the performance of the search engine.
