Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
- Administration of Oracle RAC clustered (11g/12c) database environments
- Installation and configuration of Oracle Business Intelligence OBIEE 10g/11g/12c is preferred
- Maintenance and upgrade activities on Production, Test & Development EBS R11i/R12 environments is preferred.
- Performance Monitoring, Space Monitoring, Capacity Planning and Concurrent Manager tuning.
- Cloning using Rapid clone, Autoconfig and adclone utilities.
- Patching of Development, Test and Production environments.
- Creating users, profiles, responsibilities, menus and functions
- Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Take care of the Database design and implementation
- Implement and maintain database security
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
- Perform application tuning and performance monitoring
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards
- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
- Monitor Application Processes and Concurrent Managers
- Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support using Metalink
- Patch Management and Version Control
- Implement and maintain the database design
- Create and maintain data warehousing
- Write database procedures, functions, and triggers
- Assist developers with database activities
- Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities
- Knowledge of Grid/CRS/ASM configuration and management
- Database/SQL Performance tuning skills
- Provide 24*7 supports for production, development, and test databases (quarterly pager for on call)
- Database patching, upgrades, and, migrations
- Knowledge of RMAN backup/recovery configuration and deployment
- Grid Control (OEM12c) monitoring, configuration and deployment
- Experienced using tools/utilities: AWR, ADDM, OEM, RMAN, SQL*Loader, Data Pump
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Knowledgeable of Oracle security and policy base process and procedures
- Provides disaster recovery support by testing, reviewing, and supporting disaster recovery plans
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Experienced with Oracle Data Guard replication technologies
- Basic knowledge of Oracle internals
- Experienced with Oracle failover and switchover concepts
- Strong partitioning skills
- UNIX scripting, Java/Perl Script, PL/SQL, Tivoli, ServiceNow, CyberArk, SQL Developer
- Ensures stability and reliability of infrastructure components through proactive maintenance and incident resolution
- Knowledgeable of change management, incident, and, problem management
- Provide guidance to application teams, business users, and junior DBAs where appropriate in terms of best practices for SQL development and database usage
