<h2>JOB DESCRIPTION:</h2> <h3><span style="font-size: large;">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></h3> <p><span style="font-size: large;">* Develops, manages and tests backup and recovery plans; Restores and recovers corrupted databases</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Ensures that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Monitors performance and manages parameters to provide fast query responses to 'front end' users</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Designs and develops subsequent phases of all reporting systems</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Maintains applications, tests and installs new solutions; Installs and tests upgrades and patches</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Proactively addresses potential system failures</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Provides 24/7 support for critical situations</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;">* Evaluates and recommends new database technologies</span></p> <h3><span style="font-size: large;">REQUIREMENTS:</span></h3> <p><span style="font-size: large;"><span>* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent job experience required</span><br /><span>* Must be familiar with current terminology and methodology of the same</span><br /><span>* Experience with comprehensive system analysis, design, programming, implementation integration and management</span><br /><span>* Proven experience in SQL database administration.</span><br /><span>* To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent verbal and written communications skills</span><br /><span>* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization</span><br /><span>* Familiarity with healthcare applications, terminology and workflows strongly preferred; The individual must be able to handle a variety of situations using tact and diplomacy</span><br /><span>* Must work well in a team environment, as well as individually and remain abreast of technical developments, techniques and user programs</span><br /><span><br /></span></span></p>
