Job Description

Key Role: 

  • In this role, you will perform data engineering activities on some of the coolest and cutting-edge projects in the industry working with Big Data tools.
  • You will perform activities including architecting data systems, standing up data platforms, building out ETL pipelines, writing custom code, interfacing with data stores, performing data ingestion, and building data models. Support the assessing, designing, building, and maintaining of scalable data platforms that use the latest and best in Big Data tools. You will be responsible for performing analytical exploration and examination of data from multiple sources of data.
  • You will work with multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, data scientists, developers, and data consumers in an agile fast-paced environment that is pushing the envelope of bleeding edge Big Data implementations.
  • The work is done in Scrum-based Agile teams operating in fast-paced environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience developing ETL pipelines and developing data manipulation scripts
  •  2+ years of experience using SQL, working with modern relational databases (e.g. MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
  •  2+ years of experience with Big Data systems (e.g. Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Cloudera)
