Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration of software infrastructure to optimize the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using big data and cloud technologies.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including the automation of manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and tuning data storage solutions to maximize performance and end-user experience.
  • Enjoy being challenged and to have a desire to solve complex problems on a daily basis
  • Ability to multitask and manage several priorities at once

Required Skills:

  • Experience with stream-processing systems (Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.)
  • Advanced data transformation experience using multiple tools and techniques (PIG, SQL, JAVA, PYTHON, R, etc.)
  • Experience in data management, modeling and storage principles.
  • Hortonworks Data Platform or cloud data management experience (Hadoop, Ambari, Spark, Kafka etc.)
  • Relational and non-relational database experience (Greenplum, PostgreSQL, DB2, Cassandra, etc.
  • Experience building, optimizing and maintaining big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
