Responsibilities:

  • Deliver highly scalable and reliable applications.
  • Develop well-architected, intuitive and elegant frameworks and features to support scalability and flexibility.
  • Refactor and optimize the code for improved reliability, performance, simplicity and maintainability.
  • Join a highly collaborative team in an energetic environment.
  • Participate in system monitoring, including through an on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of directly relevant work experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with web technologies and/or distributed system development.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience building scalable, highly available, distributed Scala RESTful APIs.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building scalable, highly available, distributed Java RESTful APIs.
  • Programming experience with Java and J2EE frameworks.
  • Experience with JVM tuning a plus.
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with Hibernate, NIO a plus.
  • Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
  • Ability to be verbally and cognitively agile to discuss with the team.
