Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Refines and tracks QA metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status
  • Documents all defects and assists in their resolution
  • Automate software application regression tests.
  • Estimates and helps plan testing activities
  • Troubleshoots implementation issues and demonstrates the ability to drive to successful resolution
  • Works with Project Management and Software Engineers to provide clear user stories and requirements for test cases and end-to-end testing
  • Clarifies and discusses requirements throughout the development life cycle
  • Implements testing strategies for new features, system stability, load, and regression.

Required Skills

  • Experience with black/white box testing, integration, system, regression, usability, stress, and acceptance testing
  • Knowledge of Application Servers (examples WebLogic and Tomcat)
  • Understanding of Agile software development
  • Understanding of web service integration (example: REST and SOAP XML)
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming
  • Understanding of XML schemas and XML methodologies
