Job Description:

We have an immediate opening in the payroll department for a payroll expert who will be responsible to supervise the day-to-day payroll functions for all offices in 14 states and for over 1,200 employees. This position will provide front-line supervision for the payroll department, perform daily payroll processing duties and will be responsible for implementing process improvements.

 
Responsibilities include managing workflow, proactively identifying and resolving issues, understanding and executing all functions required for the payroll process, balancing the workload and assuring all critical functions are covered on a daily basis. The selected individual will be expected to assure that payroll deadline are timely met which may include the authorization of overtime work, to provide feedback as well as implement new procedures to improve the quality and consistency of the work performed and ensure all payroll transactions are processed in accordance with firm policy. Creating and maintaining payroll processing procedures manual will also be expected.
 
Qualified candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, technical, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines gracefully.
