Job Description:
As a member of the Digital team, the role would encompass responsibility for the installation, configuration and administration of the Tableau server and client applications. Duties will include establishing best practice methodologies for the administration of the Tableau platform and architectural skills on Business Objects Universe design. Additionally, this person will assist with administration and troubleshooting of Web Intelligence reporting.
As this position involves the design and development of the Tableau data infrastructure, upgrade deployments, data source creation, security (user access), change control of Tableau objects and overall Tableau support, this person will be interfacing heavily between the business & IT organization, making this a highly-visible role to multiple parts of a global enterprise company!

Qualifications

Experience with Tableau Server administration

Understanding of Windows Server administration

Development experience in the Tableau environment

Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network firewall

Experience configuring Single Sign-on (SSO) with SAML authentication

Proficient in Tableau command line utility

Good understanding of database concepts including writing SQL statements (for use against PostgreSQL database)

Strong troubleshooting skills

Strong communication skills (ability to talk to both the business and IT)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related fields or equivalent work experience required

Tableau Certifications preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Perform installation, migration and upgrade of Tableau Servers and Desktops under High Availability scenario

Perform performance analysis of existing Tableau Servers and make Best Practice recommendations

Perform day to day administration of Tableau Servers environment:

Manage sites and projects

Configure and manage project permissions

Provide periodic reports on Tableau Server usage

Publish Tableau workbooks and data extracts

Manage licensing

Configure and maintain Active Directory integration with Tableau Server

Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign On (SSO) issues for Tableau Server

Provide 2nd tier support to user community on various Tableau Server and Desktop issues

Create Tableau related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
