Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install workstations, servers, and other hardware or software at any client locations as needed. Install software to include: Microsoft Windows Workstation/Server, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Microsoft Index Server, Oracle Database Management System, Crystal Reports Web Server, and Oracle Data Provider.
  • Coordinate and interact with other offices and field network administrators to ensure timely maintenance support and administration of the servers/workstations.
  • Install recommended patches, anti-virus definitions, and other updates.
  • Test patches in the test environment before releasing into production
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software to include the latest patches and service packs
  • Develop effective database backup and recovery strategies to manage growth and ensure retention, backup and recovery of the data.

Required

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Admin/Engineer (MSCA/MSCE) desired
  • Experience administering Windows servers, storage devices, backups, and peripherals in an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience establishing, configuring, and supporting MS Windows Server and Oracle Server hardware and infrastructure
  • Microsoft Windows upgrade testing prior to implementation into production
