Job Description

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  • Triage and assess services tickets (organizational emergency critical incidents, enhancements, client incidents) within outlined SLA
  • Monitor and maintain application performance, perform modifications based on performance enhancements or functional needs
  • Database Maintenance
    • Perform requested data changes (T-SQL) and maintain library of common scripts
    • Create and Monitor ETL processes
    • Enhance data model or objects (stored procedures, view, triggers, indexes) as necessary
  • Determine preventive and corrective maintenance needs
  • Adopt Agile principles in fixing and enhancing applications
    • Maintain production and UAT environment
    • Provide user support during application testing
    • Provide documentation of releases
  • Implement project management best practices
  • Comply with USBR and Department of the Interior policies

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of JAVA experience
  • Advanced application maintenance and support with the JAVA language, recent versions (i.e. Version 7, 8)
  • Government must be able to verify skill levels and work experience
