Business Analyst Summary:


Signature Consultants is seeking a Business Analyst for a 6+ month opportunity with a client in Charlotte, NC (University Area). This position will be part of a team that provides business analysis for all projects, initiatives, and production support for the General Ledger reporting and Regulatory Data Repository/eOne tools of the Controller's Division in Corporate Finance.


Focus will be on projects and initiatives that impact GL and RDR/eOne specifically related to the adjustment and reporting tools.


Duties are varied and include:

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly maintenance tasks for production support
  • Working with end-users, IT partners, and cross functional BA teams to provide project support, resolve questions, assess needs, and recommend changes
  • Provide support for testing, validating changes, writing requirements, documentation, and change management related to tool releases
  • Participate in developing test scripts and coordinating user acceptance testing
  • Assist with creation and organization of Agile user stories and defects
  • Develop and/or update user documentation and procedures; develop and conduct user/support team training


Requirements:


  • Experience in business systems analysis, business systems design, or a combination of both in the Financial Services industry
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial analysis
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger, financial reporting systems, GL Actuals and Averages, and reporting hierarchies
  • Experience in using SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word in a business or finance related field
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and understand complex business and technology terminology
  • Be highly self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Possess strong analytical & problem solving skill

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic SQL and query writing to research and troubleshoot application issues
  • Experience with both SDLC and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with ALM QC for defect and requirement management
  • Experience with Rally tool for Agile User Stories.
