Performs highly technical and administrative work in the installation, development, and maintenance of Oracle Database environments. Implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of Oracle databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance. Resolves Oracle database performance, capacity, and replications issues. Incumbent exercises considerable judgement in the resolution of technical problems and in all administrative and professional situations. Work is performed under limited supervision and is evaluated while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, discussion, review of established procedures and achievement of desired results. 5-7 years of experience


JOB DUTIES:



    • Ø * Build, design, and implement database systems of high availability and quality that meet user requirements

    • Ø * Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses

    • Ø * Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users

    • Ø * Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

    • Ø * Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity

    • Ø * Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required


MUST HAVE SKILLS:



    • Ø * BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification

    • Ø * Proven working experience as an Oracle database administrator

    • Ø * Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications

    • Ø * Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL

    • Ø * Proven experience with database design, documentation and coding

    • Ø * Previous experience with DBA case tools and third party tools

    • Ø * Familiarity with programming languages API

  • Ø * Problem solving skills
