Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality assurance duties:

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, acceptance, and load/performance testing
  • Report, track and determine priority for reported bugs
  • Write test plans or specific test cases based on User Stories/acceptance criteria.
  • Proactive analysis of viewer measurement reports
  • Lead specific projects in QA on new apps, enhancements of existing apps, and maintenance/support activities
  • Assist in building and maintaining a “state of the art” QA Lab
  • Assist in implementation of automated testing.

Operations duties:

  • Understand client-side consumption of server data and assist in testing and diagnosing issues manifested on the client
  • Identify, implement, and monitor operational metrics and use closed-loop communication with Developers and QA to ensure production stability and continuous improvement
    • Identify customer-impacting issues, and investigate/track to resolution
  • Support off-hours issues and work activities as needed (rare, but imperative)

Desired skills or personality traits:

  • 3+ years of software UI testing relevant experience
  • Experience with API testing
  • Experience with Agile and Agile Project Management tool - Rally
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript is a plus
  • Familiarity with DTH television operations (satellite or cable)
  • Skills in Excel and other Office products
