Job Description
Main duties & responsibilities:
  • Elicit requirements from stakeholders within businesses, challenging them in order to hone their thinking.
  • Formally document requirements so that they remain understandable for the business to subscribe to, while sufficiently comprehensive, structured and technically-oriented to be translated into solutions by the technology team
  • Fully evaluate the end user experience (UX) from start to end of their interaction, and hone requirements (with business’s agreement) to optimise UX
  • Develop Use Cases
  • Map and document user journeys
  • Work closely and effectively with business and tech teams
  • Ensure that requirements documents are delivered to the highest quality standards
  • Work to aggressive deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Highlight risks as they become evident
  • Help Head of Technology and Project Manager meet project milestones through timely delivery of key documents.
Competencies:
  • Experienced at capturing, interpreting and reporting key metrics/KPI’s to drive continuous performance improvement
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to gain trust of stakeholders
  • Strong Command of MS Office suite and Visio
  • Results-focussed individual, with sound commercial awareness, a can-do attitude and excellent problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work at own initiative, take responsibility for delivery and create real business value
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment to deliver multiple running projects
  • Proactive and structured in approach to work.
  • Agile experience
  • Experience of SQL and HTML a plus
 
Experience:
  • 1+ years' experience of business analysis or equivalent role in online environment, preferably in media/publishing, Finance or Digital sector
  • 1+ years experience at capturing, interpreting and reporting key business requirements and helping translate functional into technical specifications.
  • Solid technical background with a good understanding of IT systems and end to end software development processes
