Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group
  • Collaborating with IT/Financial/clinical /administrative staff to ensure that reports/dashboards are accurate, meaningful and interpretable
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget
  • Ensures coordination with other internal and external databases to provide accurate and timely information and analysis for decision making, market research, strategic planning, business development and service evaluation
  • Apply forecasting and predictive modeling techniques to enhance strategic thinking and business planning
  • Comply with all New York Proton Center policies related to Privacy Rules established under the Health Information Privacy and Portability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
  • Perform other job-related duties, as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, required
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field, preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in healthcare, preferred
  • Familiarity with standard financial and operational concepts, as well as an understanding of healthcare finance required
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills and project management
  • Independent problem-solving skills and statistical analysis techniques required
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities with demonstrated experience in case management to include some medical knowledge, preferred
  • Excellent attention to details with the ability to consistently provide accurate and timely work product
  • Strong ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and Internet required
  • Strong communication skills required, both orally and in writing
