Job Description

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Development of enterprise data governance/data quality policies. Provides recommendations to Enterprise Data Governance committees for approval that address data quality pain points discovered through advising and consulting within the organization.
  • Assist Management to, define strategies, build roadmaps and implement Enterprise Data Strategy, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Governance and Data Warehousing/Analytics solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with business data owners to understand and coach them on their data quality requirements.
  • Identify and define critical data elements with business partners at an Enterprise level that contribute to the success of the Credit Union.
  • Performs data quality rule checks to identify quality gaps in applicable dimensions based on intended use.
  • Ensures the identification and automation of proper system checks and balances (i.e. balance/controls, threshold checks).
  • Utilize the enterprise data management frameworks to perform prompt and accurate root cause analysis of data issues.
  • Has experience to strongly influence upstream source system(s) to correct data issues where the root cause of the data issue exist.
  • Design, develop and maintain data quality dashboards in response to reviews with business units where data errors have been identified and ensure business rule changes are identified to permanently solve the issues.
  • Integrate new data source into the Enterprise Data Governance Framework.
  • All teammembers must comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience

Experience:
3 years of related data management experience required
Experience using Python, JAVA, HADOOP sqoop, HIVE, HBASE, Tableau and Informatica IDQ/AXONRelevant credit union and/or financial systems experience preferred.
Relevant credit union and/or financial systems experience a plus
Understands differences between master data and transactional data
