Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to data requests from multiple scrum teams.
  • Communicates test data strategy and priorities.
  • Participates in related project meetings.
  • Translate business requirements into technical terms.
  • Documents data requests, characteristics and solutions.
  • Defines data mining queries and set up in Test Data Service.
  • Point of contact for data issues.
  • Partners with system analyst and business analyst on the program to research data issues and requests.
  • Executes test data strategy and evaluates effectiveness.
  • Utilizes and promotes self-service data mining where possible


Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge on data mining with SQLs through tools such as AQT, TOAD, Rapid SQL.
  • Experience working with various type of databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL server, Sybase) and ability to join the data sets.
  • Ability to understand data model and extract SQL statements.
  • Ability to interpret data flow diagrams and suggest data mining methods.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues through Splunk logs.
  • 5 years’ working experience as a data analyst or in related field.
  • Strong Communication skills (both verbally and in writing) with technical and non-technical members of the project team.
